Drought Watch web site

The Drought Watch web site is produced by the Prairie Farm Rehabiliation Administration (PFRA) of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and provides many agrometeorological and drought related products and information for Canada. There is also a complete version of the web site in French.

Information and Products provided are:
  • Current Conditions Maps This section provides national and regional temperature and precipitation maps, drought indice maps (Monthly Palmer, SPI, and Soil Moisture), and Drought Monitoring Maps (Forage Production and Supply, and On-Farm Surface Water Supplies).
  • Historical Maps This section provides a historical archive the products from the Current Conditions section.
  • Climate Profiles This section provides climate and agroclimatic products, drought summaries, various articles, and grasshopper maps and information.
  • Drought Management Information This section provides articles on on drought related topics such as crops, livestock, pasture, pest management, and water.
